Giving Compass’ Take:
• Causeartist profiles five businesses that are taking action in providing safe water for the world, including Charity: water and S’well.
• This is a good overview of responsibility in this area of great need, but it’s also worth exploring how the nonprofit sector can expand and even improve on these efforts.
• Water scarcity will be a continuing issue globally, but WASH funding is essential when it comes to sustainable clean water solutions.
According to worldwaterday.org, there are 2.1 billion people who live without safe drinking water at home; affecting their health, education and livelihoods. And if they have access to it, they must take 4 hours out of their day to get to it.

Here are 5 ventures changing the world through safe water:
- People Water
- Soma Water
- Charity: water
