In accordance with the latest state and citywide ordinances regarding public gatherings, the Philanthropy California team has decided to transform our in-person 2020 Policy Summit into a virtual gathering that will remain scheduled for April 20, 2020.
Our virtual Summit now allows us to host more people than before, and we encourage you to invite your colleagues! All future registrations for the Summit will have pay-what-you-like pricing, and all contributions will go toward supporting the work of Philanthropy California in responding to the current crisis. As we face a global pandemic, we believe it is more important than ever for our philanthropic and civic leaders to convene and discuss the policy solutions that will have the greatest impact on the lives of all Californians. Philanthropy has the opportunity to amplify community-led initiatives, play an active role in civic engagement, and leverage government collaborations during this moment of crisis. Now is the time to work rapidly to address our state’s most immediate needs, and also to begin thinking about the long-term efforts and policies that will ensure a thriving and equitable future for California.
Presented in partnership with the California Budget & Policy Center, the 2020 Philanthropy California Policy Summit will present a half-day of candid and timely conversations about philanthropy’s role in changing systems and strengthening our communities during this critical election year. Participants will learn of growing opportunities for alignment in public-private collaboration to translate bold visions into powerful impact. We hope you’ll join over 300 of your statewide colleagues to learn from each other, build alliances, and envision a better future for California.
