Please join us for a conversation with Brian Gallagher, president and chief executive officer of United Way Worldwide. He leads one of the world’s most expansive and storied community philanthropy organizations.
Moderated by Amir Pasic, Eugene R. Tempel Dean, IU Lilly Family School of Philanthropy
How is the United Way engaging technology and facing the challenges and possibilities of demographic and social changes to engage communities, corporations, donors, and public policy to provide care and to push for consequential change?
We will ask our fellow Hoosier how United Way Worldwide is responding to COVID-19 and the inequities it is exposing as it thinks about the future of its community engagement model.
Coinciding with the 7th Annual Science of Philanthropy Initiative Conference, organized by the University of Chicago Kenneth C. Griffin Economics Department, the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, and the Copenhagen Business School, we will also be asking Brian how his organization relies on research and what kinds of knowledge he wishes he and his colleagues could access in pursuing their mission.
