An Evening with Sue Monk Kidd

Islandwood and Washington Women's Foundation

About

Please join IslandWood and Washington Women’s Foundation for an evening with Sue Monk Kidd. Ms. Kidd is the award-winning and international bestselling author of the novel The Secret Life of Bees, which inspired the award-winning movie of the same name, and is currently being developed for an Off-Broadway production with Atlantic Theater Company next spring. Ms. Kidd is also the author of best-selling novels The Mermaid Chair and The Invention of Wings (Oprah’s Book Club 2.0 selection) and of many acclaimed spiritual memoirs including The Dance of the Dissident Daughter, When the Heart Waits, and Traveling with Pomegranates, another New York Times bestseller, which was co-written with her daughter Ann Kidd Taylor.

Ms. Kidd will be discussing her life and work, and her lecture will be followed by a book signing session.

Sue Monk Kidd and Ann Kidd Taylor will also be the keynote speakers for Circle of Friends, a restorative weekend in the woods for women at IslandWood’s campus on Bainbridge Island. Click here for more details and registration.
