Conducting Effective Site Visits

Host Organization: Washington Women's Foundation

About

Conducting a site visit is an exciting, energizing opportunity to more deeply understand the work of a nonprofit. As a grantmaker, how do you ensure that the site visit answers any outstanding questions? What can we as grantmakers do to set the tone of a positive and rewarding experience for everyone?

By the end of this session, participants will:

  • Know basic site visit etiquette
  • Gain tools and strategies to minimize the effect of power dynamics between grantmakers and grant seekers
  • Be empowered to identify and assess risk
  • This workshop will feature a grantee representative, sharing their perspective on what it's like to receive a site visit team in the Pooled Fund Grant Committee process.

All WA Women's Foundation members welcome! Attendance is required for all 2019 PFGC Site Visit participants. Guests are asked to contact WA Women's Foundation's office (206-340-1710) before registering.

Please bring a brown bag lunch.
