Given the current discourse around welcoming Afghans with dignity, we are convening peers and frontline leaders on asylum (border and receiving community) issues.
We are getting together for three sessions on consecutive days, starting on Tuesday, September 21st to Thursday, September 23rd, 2021; each day from 2 to 3:30 pm ET for 90 min.
Through the virtual convening, we are pursuing the following three objectives:
Supporting new funders to grasp and explore the interconnectedness of asylum issues with, e.g., climate change, gender, racial justice, and movement building - just to name a few.
Deepen the understanding of existing and experienced funders.
Hold space for action-oriented discussions between and amongst frontline leaders and funders.
Many of the leaders - many with lived experience - who are driving the work will be with us. You will get a chance to hear from them directly and to engage other funders.
We’d love for you to join us and share this invite with others in your philanthropic network as we aim to extend the discussions to voices we have not been exposed to or heard of yet.
If you can make it (which I hope you can - keeping fingers & toes crossed), please fill in this form by the latest Thursday, September 16th!
