EPIP 2018 National Conference

Host Organization: Emerging Practitioners in Philanthropy

About

The United States has entered a period of social and political unrest, where fear and organized hatred threaten to further polarize the nation; keeping marginalized communities on the fringes of society.  Yet, in spite of this, communities across the nation continue to organize and mobilize in a persistent effort to advance justice and counter hate. While the philanthropic sector strives to remain responsive to needs and advance equity through their investments and operations, present-day circumstances require us to re-examine how we lead and double down on our commitment to justice and long-term systemic change through our work.

Join us in Detroit, a city with a rich history of innovation and reinvention, to explore strategies to leverage resources in support of marginalized communities and movements for justice, learn new skills to deepen your philanthropic practice in more inclusive ways, and reimagine your leadership in preparation for the challenges that may lie on the road ahead.
