Historical Trauma and Healing with Dr. Eduardo Duran

Philanthropy NW and Hopa Mountain

About

Join Hopa Mountain for a phone conversation on historical trauma and healing with psychologist Dr. Eduardo Duran. This conversation is free-of-charge and open to everyone. To participate, please dial 1-605-475-2090 and enter passcode 189808.

On this call, Dr. Duran will be sharing insights from his updated book, Healing the Soul Wound: Counseling with American Indians and Other Native People. In this groundbreaking book, Dr. Duran draws on his own clinical experience to provide guidance to counselors working with Native Peoples and other vulnerable populations. This second edition includes an important new chapter devoted to working with veterans. Duran also presents case materials that illustrate effective intervention strategies for substance abuse, intergenerational trauma, and internalized oppression.

The second edition of his book can be ordered now online. The first edition can be read online.

This event is hosted by longtime Philanthropy Northwest friend and partner, Hopa Mountain, based in Bozeman, MT. For more information, please contact Bonnie Satchatello-Sawyer, Executive Director of Hopa Mountain.

This conference call is from 10:00am to 11:00am MDT.
