As of October 1, 2019, a full scope of updates to the Family First Prevention Service Act went into effect. The implementation of this new policy created important opportunities and additional federal resources to improve child safety and reduce abuse and neglect, while strengthening the capacity of families to effectively meet the needs of their children.
