Innovative Programs for Immigrants and Refugees in Volatile Times

Philanthropy Northwest

About

New immigration policies and enforcement efforts are directly affecting the lives of immigrants and refugees in our own communities. In this member briefing, we will hear from frontline organizations working with and for those most impacted by changing immigration policies. With the guidance from both local, regional and national leaders, we will learn about innovative models around the country to address some of these challenges. In philanthropy, our work often works at a different pace than that of policy changes and executive orders. How do we as grantmakers and funders seek guidance and implement measurable actions so that our organizations can better support these vulnerable members of our communities. The briefing is intended to prepare participants with actionable next steps to bring to their work.

This briefing is inspired by the recent Grantmakers Concerned with Immigrants and Refugees (GCIR) annual conference, as well Philanthropy Northwest’s ongoing commitment to create spaces for funders and frontline community organizations to convene, listen and act together. We have a jam-packed line-up of advocates, practitioners, activists and funders. Please join us!
