The United States has the highest incarceration rate in the world, even with the rate in 2016 reaching a 20-year low. While there have been several promising legislative changes at the federal, state, and local levels recently, significant challenges still exist in connecting individuals who are incarcerated or under supervision (probation and parole) with work.
This session will focus on innovative workforce strategies from leading service providers in the criminal justice field and on current initiatives to respond more effectively to this critical issue.
