Legacy and Impact: How Family Foundations Can Have Both

Host Organization: Johnson Center for Philanthropy

About

Philanthropic families care about legacy as well as impact — but at times, honoring both can be a challenge. As social issues, needs, and pathways to impact evolve, it can be difficult to find creative ways to honor cherished family legacies while remaining responsive to beneficiaries and adaptive to new ideas and new priorities.

In this webinar, we’ll learn how both long-standing and newer family foundations are tackling this challenge.

Moderator: Michael Moody, Ph.D., Frey Foundation Chair for Family Philanthropy at the Johnson Center

Guest Panel:
• Kelly Nowlin, Trustee, Surdna Foundation
• Valerie Rockefeller, Chair, Rockefeller Brothers Fund
• Rick Williams, CEO, Sobrato Family Foundation
