Lessons from a Participatory Journey: Fund to Build Grassroots Power

In an interactive session (naturally, given the topic!) we will explore the pathway to a participatory process that enhances equitable practices in grantmaking.

Examining the experience of the Fund to Build Grassroots Power (est. 2018), participants will journey through the process of moving from idea to impact when incorporating participation into the grantmaking process. Participatory novices and experts alike will learn to contribute to a greater collective understanding among funders and grantees of ways to narrow gaps in power, and become more effective in addressing the true needs of communities.
