Local Learning: Measure H: Progress and Opportunities for Funders

Funders Together to End Homelessness

About

The Funders Together to End Homelessness Los Angeles Network is pleased to invite private philanthropic funders to our next event on December 19, “Measure H: Progress and Opportunities for Funders.”

In March of 2017, voters approved Measure H, a quarter-cent sales tax to fund supportive services, housing, outreach and prevention services for people experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles County. Over a year and a half later, the public is asking where Measure H dollars are going and how this fits into building a more comprehensive system to eradicate homelessness.

Please join us to learn more about Measure H progress and the continued role of philanthropy around systems connections, research, innovation and more. You will hear from County Supervisor deputies Molly Rysman (Housing and Homelessness Deputy, Office of Supervisor Sheila Kuehl) and Dhakshike Wickrema (Assistant Senior Deputy for Homelessness and Mental Health, Office of Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas), along with a dynamic panel including Cheri Todoroff (Deputy Director, Los Angeles County Department of Health Services), Christina Miller (Senior Project Manager for Homelessness Strategies, City of Los Angeles), Christine Margiotta (Chair, Measure H Citizens’ Oversight Advisory Board), and Peter Lynn (Executive Director, Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority).

RSVP with your name, organization and title to Emma Heffernan (emma@hiltonfoundation.org). Please note that this invitation is nontransferable. Should you have a specific question for our panelists, please include with your RSVP.
