Nonprofit Management Institute – Leading Social Change in Turbulent Times

Stanford Social Innovation Review

About

Even in periods of relative stability, nonprofit leaders face multiple challenges—issues of scalability, governance, collaboration, evaluation, funding, and more. But these topics face an additional level of complexity during periods of global economic, social, or political upheaval. How do leaders of nonprofit organizations successfully navigate the increased demands of their role during these periods?

Stanford Social Innovation Review’s twelfth annual Nonprofit Management Institute—Leading Social Change in Turbulent Times—recognizes that organizational leaders face difficult and uncertain roads ahead.

Through a mix of intensive sessions, hands-on workshops, and insightful interviews with thought leaders from academia, nonprofits, for-profits, and government, you’ll leave the conference feeling inspired and ready to take action.

We’ll explore how you can:

  • Engage your community to establish inclusion, co-ownership, and successful partnerships that get results
  • Mobilize the power of social movements to create change
  • Use storytelling and communication techniques to build awareness that leads to action
  • Diversify your funding sources in an era of financial uncertainty
  • Distribute decision-making among beneficiaries with the co-creation system
  • Increase impact with data-driven and evidence-based practices
  • Scale your organization’s reach

Not only will you spend two intense days of learning at Stanford University, a world-class educational institution in the heart of Silicon Valley, your conference registration also includes:

  • Social and networking events with your conference peers: Welcome Reception on September 11 in Palo Alto, Networking Reception on September 12 at the Frances C. Arrillaga Alumni Center, Stanford University
  • CFRE credits—attendees will receive instructions on how to apply for credits
  • Access to post-conference resources like presentation slides, podcasts, related articles and books, and more
  • Complimentary breakfasts and lunches made with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients that meet a variety of dietary needs

Your fellow attendees are leaders and decision-makers at their organizations—senior-level nonprofit executives including CEOs, executive directors, board members, and others with significant leadership responsibilities. Sessions are designed for leaders at all types and sizes of organizations, domestic and international. Every year, the Nonprofit Management Institute features an all-new program and many attendees return year after year.

We hope you’ll join us. Register today!
