Nonprofits and Donor-advised Funds: Perceptions, Progress, and Potential Impacts

Host Organization: Stanford Social Innovation Review

About

This Complimentary SSIR Live! Program Will Explore:

  • The role that donor-advised funds can and do play in the philanthropic landscape
  • The advantages to nonprofits of working with donor-advised to amplify donor benefit
  • How nonprofits and donor-advised funds can effectively work together to maximize charitable impact

Although the relationship between donors and donor-advised funds has been a topic of numerous studies and articles in recent years, research on the intersection between nonprofits and donor-advised funds has been more limited.

The Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy and Schwab Charitable have recently collaborated to field a comprehensive study that increases the philanthropic sector’s understanding around contemporary challenges faced by nonprofits in the United States, with a particular focus on the interaction between nonprofits and donor-advised funds. In this complimentary SSIR Live! webinar, we will unpack the findings of this original research, in order to provide practical knowledge and new insights.
