Event

Rooted: Integrating Gender Justice into Philanthropic Practice

Host Organization: Neighborhood Funders Group

About

We continue to see sinister encroachment on gender justice - from anti-trans legislation and sentiments to attacks on reproductive rights and disregard of gender based violence. At the same time, community organizers continue to mobilize with a vision of intersectional feminism and justice for impacted communities.

We must foster and support efforts toward gender justice in order to create a world where communities can thrive and self determine. As we rally and assemble support for grassroots organizing efforts, it is imperative to continue to sharpen our lens and frameworks toward an integrated and intersectional understanding of liberation. This includes deepening philanthropy's commitment not only to better understanding the interlocking dimensions of gender oppression, but also resourcing the organizing ecosystem that is seeding the future of gender justice.

Join us to learn more about what the fight for gender justice looks like at this moment, gaps in funding, and what it means to be a funder committed to integrating gender justice into their practice.
