WGHA invites members to join its inaugural STEM Global Public Engagement Training which is part of its newest program, STEM Global, supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

STEM Global will increase awareness of global health careers, help teachers integrate global health into their STEM teaching, and improve access to career exploration opportunities for youth underrepresented in the sciences.

STEM Global Public Engagement Training, presented by Pacific Science Center, offers a professional development opportunity for scientists and global health practitioners. Gain valuable skills in science communication and engaging the public on February 13, 2019.

Audience: Early to mid-career scientists and global health practitioners at WGHA member organizations (Limited to 24 participants).

Opportunity: Participants will practice simple techniques for talking science with non scientists and refine key messages related to their areas of expertise. We look forward to building a cohort of global health professionals who will engage and inspire the next generation of global health dreamers and doers.

Cost: $30 per person
