Support, Sustainability, and Succession – A Conversation on Supporting Leadership Transitions

Philanthropy New York

About

During this period of uncertainty, non-profit partners are struggling for survival while they continue to do critical work in their communities. Often, periods of crisis are followed by a rise in leadership transitions in the non-profit sector. Please join the Leadership Transition Funders Group in a conversation facilitated by Frances Kunreuther and Sean Thomas-Breitfeld of the Building Movement Project with Hez Norton, who led transition work at TSNEMission Works and is the current Interim Executive Director at the Laughing Gull Foundation, and Holly Bartling, Senior Program Officer at General Services Foundation. Hez and Holly will share their experience and lessons learned throughout their innovative work around leadership transitions and succession planning.

Join us for a conversation around how to better support grantees during leadership transitions as they navigate these incredibly challenging times and prepare for an uncertain future.

The Leadership Transition Funders Group is a network of program executives and those leading grantmaking strategy and practices who explore and learn from one another around how they can best support nonprofits through a healthy leadership transition and best practices in supporting leaders of color. If you are interested in joining the Leadership Transitions Funders Group and participating in their listserv, please contact Anthony Salgado.
