The State of Philanthropy: In the midst of COVID-19 and Racial Injustice

Host Organization: Center for Effective Philanthropy

About

Current realities are rocking the nonprofit community to its core. The role of philanthropy, development professionals, and nonprofit leaders in nonprofit sustainability is more important than ever. But we are all navigating uncharted territory.

You will want to hear our distinguished panelists:

Susan Taylor Batten, President and CEO of the Association of Black Foundation Executives; and

Phil Buchanan, President of the Center for Effective Philanthropy and author of Giving Done Right.

Our moderator will be Ralph de Chabert, Brown-Forman’s SVP and Chief Diversity, Inclusion, and Global Community Relations Officer.

Our experts will consider the state of philanthropy in the midst of a pandemic, racial injustice, and economic uncertainty. Together, we will explore what we can do to ensure that our missions continue amid all these challenges and uncertainty.
