They will discuss pervasive human rights violations and the oppression of women and girls, while sharing experiences of economic progress when women are empowered to reach their full potential. This program is held in conjunction with the Gates Foundation Visitor Center’s special exhibition"Women Hold Up Half the Sky" inspired by Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn’s best-selling book, "Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide". The exhibition is on view through January 27, 2018.
