What’s a Funder to Do? Opportunities for Funder Collaborations

Northern California Grantmakers

About

As funders we have limited capacity and funder collaborations offer a key opportunity to develop working relationships, learn with others, maximize impact, and leverage limited resources. In a highly interactive session, we’ll discuss the following questions: How do collaborations align with funder values and priorities? What types of collaborations exist and make sense for your foundation? How can funders of all types (foundations, corporations, individuals) be included? And how should nonprofits, government, policymakers, and grassroots community groups be included?

This session is a convening of Exponent Philanthropy’s San Francisco Local Engagement Group (LEG). The LEG is a safe place for funders to invigorate leadership, break down silos, share innovative ideas, build meaningful relationships with peers, and create a culture of learning. The group’s goal is to explore methods and resources that enable lean and nimble philanthropic vehicles to maximize leverage and impact through their domestic and international grantmaking, both independently and through collaborative action.

There is no cost to attend, but pre-registration is required. We encourage you to share information about this program with other funders you think might benefit.
