The climate movement has scored an increasing number of "wins" in recent years, ranging from ambitious commitments across sectors to reduce greenhouse gases to the passage of landmark climate legislation in the US. Effective and equitable implementation following these wins is not guaranteed, however. Supporting implementation represents a large—and growing—opportunity for all kinds of donors to make a difference.
This webinar will focus on the role funders can play in fulfilling the promise of key climate victories. The discussion will feature two leading experts in the field: Dana Johnson, Senior Director of Strategy and Federal Policy at WE ACT for Environmental Justice, and Laura García, President & CEO of Global Greengrants Fund. The session will be hosted by Henry Platt and Sonali Patel, Partners at Bridgespan and co-authors of a forthcoming report on climate philanthropy, "Winning on Climate Change: How donors can spur major progress over the next decade."
You'll walk away with a deepened understanding of:
• Philanthropy’s critical role supporting implementation of climate laws and commitments
• Opportunities that offer funders the biggest bang for the buck
• How funders can take next steps to catalyze effective and equitable implementation
