Black-led Joy and Wellness Fund
About
“When do you get to see a grant that is all about your joy and love?” Nyema Clark, Founder of Nurturing Roots, speaks to the heart of the Black-led Joy and Wellness Fund. It is with the guidance and partnership of our Black-led Organizations Cohort, affectionately known as the BLOC, that Seattle Foundation proudly created a fund solely dedicated to the joy and rest of Black community organizers.
Black-led organizations at the frontlines work tirelessly on behalf of their community to manage crisis after crisis but working through exhaustion is unsustainable. We value the rest and restoration necessary to realize racial justice, and we invite all those who believe in our vision and the important work of Black-led organizations to support the fund.
Thank you for your gift to the Black-Led Joy and Wellness Fund and for contributing to REPAIR. Your contribution will support activities of joy and wellness for staff within Black-led, rooted, and serving organizations in King County, strengthening their work in the community.
