Donations into this Fund as of March 2020 will be dedicated to serving Grundy residents affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Donations are now being accepted into the Grundy County Disaster Fund for COVID-19 grants to area nonprofits.
For the immediate future, donations will be granted to the nonprofit organizations serving our residents in need. We expect this to change over time based on need, spread of the pandemic, plus local, state, and federal resources.
Begun in 1999 as the Morris Community Foundation through a generous grant from the George H. Baum estate, the Community Foundation of Grundy County has grown to over $10 million in assets and has granted over $1.3 million. The Community Foundation of Grundy County seeks to provide vision for Grundy County in order to preserve and enhance our quality of life.
