EMERGENCY: VIOLENCE IN IRAN

Host Organization: Amnesty International USA New York, NY, USA amnestyusa.org/

About

Right now, Iranian security forces are violently quashing largely peaceful protests sparked by Mahsa Amini's death on September 16th, days after her arrest by the "morality police" for not complying with discriminatory compulsory veiling laws.

Amnesty is collecting evidence of the unlawful use of teargas, water cannons, and beatings with batons to disperse protesters. At least nine people have been killed and hundreds injured.

Please, rush an emergency donation today to fund our investigation and to demand an end to this militarized policing of peaceful protesters.
