As the impacts—both emerging and still uncertain—of the novel coronavirus mount across our county, the foundation has launched the Delaware County COVID-19 Response Fund to provide immediate and longer-term resources to nonprofits serving vulnerable residents across our county.
The Response Fund’s community-based strategy complements government actions and other response efforts and will provide both immediate relief and longer-term recovery initiatives for maximum impact. An advisory committee comprised of business, foundation, government and nonprofit leaders will be formed to oversee the funds distributions.
We are a community foundation, one of 780 such foundations across the country. We use our knowledge of community needs to help philanthropic donors support the causes important to them. The donors can be individuals, families or businesses. The causes they support are wide ranging – everything from health to human service needs to providing funds for the arts and improving the environment.
