Give Together Now: Family Independence Initiative

#GiveTogetherNow, offers families access to a direct and immediate cash transfer to help offset financial burdens caused by the measures to stop the spread of COVID-19. The online platform allows anyone to make a contribution tofamilies who will receive cash deposits to their bank accounts. Stand Together Foundation, part of the Stand Together community, is pledging $5 million to #GiveTogetherNow to jumpstart the emergency fund for families.

The #GiveTogetherNow campaign brings together FII’s nearly 20 years of experience in direct cash transfers and a combined network of over 250 nonprofits spanning the country, all with their fingers on the pulse of their communities. These local nonprofits are on the frontlines of their communities. They identify the families impacted the most, and deploy additional resources in their communities, bringing people together, and finding new ways to help each other.

In the midst of a global pandemic, Stand Together and the Family Independence Initiative are partnering to build a unique platform for crisis response. The COVID-19 pandemic and its economic fallout are inflicting devastating financial hardships on millions of American families. #GiveTogetherNow is a rapid-response campaign to directly get cash to these families through community support.
