The Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation, in partnership with United Way of East Central Iowa and The Hall-Perrine Foundation, has established the Disaster Response Fund to address the impacts of COVID-19 in Linn County. Resources will be directed to where the need is most pressing. As our communities and vulnerable populations face unprecedented challenges, this unrestricted fund will provide the community with a flexible strategy for charitable giving in this time of great need.
Initially, this fund will provide economic and health support for those disproportionately affected by COVID-19 and related closures. In the long term, the fund will respond to the additional needs that are sure to arise.
For more than 40 years, the Community Foundation has been working closely with donors, local leaders, and hundreds of nonprofit organizations. We are a planner, convener and catalyst for community solutions that have lasting impact. We leverage our resources with others to support crucial community initiatives and create real change.
