A 7.2 magnitude earthquake has caused widespread damage in Haiti, where the impact of the deadly 2010 earthquake is still felt. There is widespread damage to buildings and more than 1,000 people have been killed. GlobalGiving is working closely with our partners on the ground to get emergency support to them in this time of need. Your donation will go to vetted nonprofits providing emergency relief, water, food, medicine, and shelter in Haiti.
All donations to this fund will support earthquake relief and recovery efforts in Haiti. Initially, the fund helps first responders meet survivors' immediate needs for food, fuel, clean water, medicine, and shelter. As needs emerge, we will support longer-term recovery efforts run by local, vetted organizations in the impacted area.
When you donate to GlobalGiving's Haiti Earthquake Relief Fund, your donation will be used to:
-Provide food, water, and emergency medical supplies to people
-Support temporary relief and emergency supplies for displaced families
-Meet other needs that emerge
