Crisis Response Fund Fund

About This Fund

Hamilton County Community Foundation has joined Central Indiana Community Foundation and The Indianapolis Foundation, in its approach to the COVID-19 pandemic in Central Indiana to ensure that the health, economic stability, and service to our most vulnerable communities are being met during this crisis.

This flexible fund, seeded with $100,000 from Hamilton County Community Foundation, will provide resources to not-for-profit organizations that are responding to those impacted by COVID-19 and experiencing financial challenges. Operating grants will provide support to community-based organizations that work with seniors, youth and economically vulnerable populations.

About The Host Organization

Hamilton County Community Foundation was established in 1991 to address the specific needs in Hamilton County. The foundation was formed from the assets of Carmel-Clay Community Foundation and Hamilton County Parks Foundation, which were receiving donations primarily in the form of bequests—gifts made at the time of one’s death. The establishment of Hamilton County Community Foundation, then called Legacy Fund, provided a broader opportunity for Hamilton County residents to create a living legacy and make an impact during their lifetimes, right in their neighborhood.
