Horizon Community Funds of Northern Kentucky continues to support Northern Kentuckians facing increased crises or needs during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Relief Fund provides flexible financial assistance to nonprofits serving Boone, Campbell, and Kenton counties in Northern Kentucky that are experiencing increased demand for resources in response to the COVID-19 virus in our community.
The fund is designed to complement the work of local public health, nonprofit, and government entities, and to expand local capacity to support individuals and families experiencing hardship because of the outbreak and related closures and disruptions. Our initial priority with the first phase of funding will be to fund nonprofits addressing the following needs, although others may be considered:
• Food and basic hygiene and cleaning supplies
• Medication and health care needs not supported by insurance
• Access to essential needs listed above (e.g. transportation, technology)
Some people say Northern Kentucky is a bit uncommon. We know it. We own it. We have an uncommon unity by sharing our uncommon personalities. We create a common strength that solves our common problems, in the ways that only we can. We exist to inspire individual actions that add up to a greater common good.
