COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund Fund
About This Fund
MaineCF has created this fund (COVID-19 Fund) to support community-based organizations working with the COVID-19 outbreak and its consequences here in Maine. Many nonprofit organizations are in critical need of support. They are facing increased demand for services, event cancellations, office closures, and other adverse conditions due to the COVID-19 outbreak. To help address these needs, we encourage our donors and other concerned community members to provide general support grants to the organizations they know and care about in their community. Keeping our nonprofits sustainable will help our communities deal with the current crisis, and future needs when the crisis is over.
This fund supports nonprofit organizations that are involved in frontline efforts to serve the needs of those most affected by the virus and contain the spread of COVID-19. Such organizations include community action programs, area agencies on aging, homeless shelters, food pantries, and other organizations that address hunger, offer child care to essential workers, support youth, and provide support for those with safety and mental health concerns.
