Like you, the Manistee County Community Foundation is closely monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic. As the crisis rapidly evolves, we continue to learn new information about the effect of the virus on communities across Manistee County. In response, we are working as quickly as possible to ensure the health and safety of our community by determining how we, as a local philanthropic leader, can help most effectively. We know government will address some community needs but we are monitoring for ways that philanthropy can fill in the gaps.
Established through a cooperative effort between the Manistee County Community Foundation, United Way of Manistee County, and the Manistee County Human Services Collaborative Body, the newly established Community Response Fund provides a collective vehicle for charitable giving and supports collaborative grantmaking and programming in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Community Response Fund was activated to provide support to area nonprofit organizations, schools, and governments on the front lines serving those most impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Manistee County Community Foundation (MCCF) is a tax-exempt nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in the Manistee County region – today and in the future. Established in 1987, the foundation provides leadership to achieve community change, makes grants that address local needs, and builds community endowment.
