COVID-19 Rapid Relief Fund Fund
About This Fund
The Oakland Unified School District (OUSD) serves almost 37,000 students. We are facing an unprecedented crisis in our community as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, and all of our public schools are closed through the end of the school year.
In partnership with the Oakland Unified School District, we launched Phase I of our “COVID-19 Relief Fund for Oakland Kids & Schools” to support Oakland students and families through mid-April, and have secured over $1.5 million thanks to 1,500+ generous donors.
We are now launching Phase II of our campaign, and are raising $2.5 million to provide longer-term supports for Oakland kids, families, and school communities.
The fund's efforts are focused on the following areas:
- Feeding students and families
- Continuity of teaching & learning
- Supporting vulnerable families through rapid cash assistance
