Covid-19 Response Fund Fund

About This Fund

The COVID-19 Response Fund was not created to be the only vehicle for getting needed resources into the community, but to help facilitate getting more targeted resources into the community. This is a critical time for so many, including the nonprofit organizations who’ve benefited from your giving in the past, as well as those who’ve had to cancel their annual fundraising events or depend heavily on public gatherings. Please continue to give to organizations you regularly support, and those that need your help at this crucial time. Now is the time to double down for our community

Since March, this Fund has distributed $251,000 to 48 organizations in South King County. A large majority (80%) of the grants to date have addressed food insecurity in some form. Those organizations are also often were providing rental assistance, another great need. Other grants have supported additional basic needs such as PPE and diapers. We also supported mental health and domestic violence efforts, and particular needs of refugees and immigrants.

About The Host Organization

The Renton Regional Community Foundation is the result of a grassroots effort organized by local community leaders with one goal in mind—to create a long-lasting funding source that can meet emerging community needs.

While we are headquartered in Renton, issues such as homelessness, poverty, addiction, and mental illness know no boundaries. That is why RRCF operates as a regional foundation. We have made grants as far north as Bellingham, as far south as Olympia, and as far east as Spokane. While the bulk of our fund-holders reside in South King County, we have several fund-holders who reside in Seattle, SeaTac, Poulsbo, Everett, and other cities around the Puget Sound area.
