SIE has established a fund to support cross-sector systems initiatives across the country. These pioneering initiatives address root causes of inequities to transform their communities and enable all residents to thrive. Investing in the long-term transformation doesn’t preclude responding to crises that threaten the well-being of communities. Several initiatives in the Fund have swung into action to address COVID-19 by leveraging their trusted multi-sector networks to deliver critical emergency assistance to vulnerable families and individuals.
The Fund’s offerings are best in class initiatives using systems change approaches that seek to improve outcomes in education, health, and economic mobility. Each has a “backbone” organization that supports the collective efforts of a diverse multi-sector network that puts community organizations in the lead to drive systems change. All have a shared focus: an equitable society where all individuals have an equal opportunity to thrive.
SIE is a national, cross-sector membership association dedicated to generating large-scale social impact. Our unique approach has the potential to achieve a new norm of collaborative action by enabling leaders from across philanthropy, business, government, nonprofits, and communities to work together to solve complex problems and transform systems.
