Since 2017 Northern California has experienced widespread wildfires that have impacted individuals and families, damaged homes and structures, and caused displacements. In 2020 dozens of counties and hundreds of thousands of residents were impacted by the early wildfires. Solano County was already experiencing the socioeconomic impacts due to the COVID-19 pandemic when the LNU Lightning Complex fires compounded the devastation. Due to the dry winter we just experienced, it is logical to assume that 2021 fires are not an 'if' it is a matter of 'when' they will occur. The time to prepare is now.
The Solano Disaster Relief Fund was established to support relief and recovery efforts for those affected by fire disasters in Solano County. Grants from this Fund will help partnering organizations provide direct services, resources, and financial assistance to individuals and families in their communities. Please consider making a donation to the Solano Disaster Relief Fund. Our communities need your support on a year-round basis to help in ongoing relief and recovery efforts.
