The Solutions Project is an intermediary — not a foundation. But grantmaking is an important part of our integrated programs to shift culture and narrative to achieve a just transition to towards a regenerative economy that includes frontline innovations in clean air, water, soil, energy and overall healthy and prosperous communities.

The Fund primarily invest in frontline women and leaders of color best positioned for impact—helping to amplify their stories and scale their Just Transition and regenerative economy solutions. The work we support helps remove political, financial, cultural barriers to frontline and community led innovations. We encourage equity-rooted strategies that work to ensure that community benefits, diverse leadership, and just transitions are central to the call for a transition to a regenerative economy.

About the Host

The mission of the Solutions Project is to accelerate the transition to 100 percent clean, renewable energy — wind, water, and solar — for all people and purposes. The project aims to engage the public, celebrate and convene climate change leaders, and advance partnerships and policies to help bring about a global transition to 100 percent clean energy sources. The organization implements its integrated change model at the state level, combining public awareness campaigns and events with grantmaking. The Solutions Project invested over $4 million in direct grants to frontline leadership in 2018, with over half of that going to women and leaders of color.
