The Lighthouse Community Center
About
Lighthouse Community Center is a trauma-informed organization serving communities since 2004. We serve all persons in crisis with basic necessities, support, encouragement, and remedial services that lead to self-sustaining and dignified lives. Through Lighthouse Community Health Services we provide professional mental health services, re-entry housing, and wrap-around supportive services for individuals that could meet one or all three of a community's sub-group population: criminal backgrounds, mental health, and/or addiction. Additionally, through Lighthouse Community Development and Land Trust, we provide net-zero affordable homeownership opportunities for individuals and families earning 80% or less than the average median income.
About the Host
The Lighthouse is a faith-based nonprofit 501-(c)3 ministry of FARRR Foundation, and a Trauma-Informed Care organization serving communities since 2008. The mission of the Lighthouse Community Center is to serve all persons in crisis with basic necessities, support, encouragement, and remedial services that lead to self-sustaining and dignified lives. We aim to educate our communities about the impact of trauma on clients, co-workers, friends, family, and even ourselves. Understanding the impact of trauma is an important first step in becoming a compassionate and supportive community.
