Community Foundation of Whitley County: Disaster Response Fund for Whitley County
About
The Disaster Response Fund for Whitley County will employ a new model of grant making known as Rapid Response Grants that will allow for an easy application process for non-profits with streamlined review and approval in an effort to get funding out to grantees quickly.
A means for human service providers and church leaders to request targeted assistance for the most vulnerable members of our community.
About the Host
In 1991, local community leaders shared a powerful vision. They understood the strength of endowed philanthropy and believed that through the creation of a local community foundation, endowment funds could be established and nurtured to meet the changing needs of our area. Today we manage an endowed asset base of over $25 million. We use this asset base to award grants to local nonprofit organizations that provide a range of services throughout Whitley County.
