Advance North Carolina was created in 2015 from the North Carolina Black Alliance to extend support to issues in the Black Community and the candidates who align with those issues. Today, that mission remains the same: working to build political and economic power in Black communities and institutions in North Carolina. To do that work, Advance Carolina seeks to empower people, advance progress, and build power through community directed candidate endorsements, local and statewide electoral strategies, voter influence programs, the Advanced Notice media project, and the generation of a Black professional political pipeline across 15 counties in North Carolina.
