Mission

ALLMEP and our entire membership are shocked by today's devastating events, and the horrifying loss of life and widespread trauma that is already becoming clear. We are in close touch with our members, allies and colleagues, and are providing support where we can to our community of peacebuilders in this awful moment.

We stand with them: the brave Israelis and Palestinians who refuse to be enemies, and who are working to shape a reality where events such as today become unimaginable. We call for the immediate protection of civilian life, for urgent steps to be taken to de-escalate this situation, and for all actors to prevent this situation spiraling toward even further tragedy.

ALLMEP is a coalition of over 170 organizations—and tens of thousands of Palestinians and Israelis—building people-to-people cooperation, coexistence, equality, shared society, mutual understanding, and peace among their communities. We add stability in times of crisis, foster cooperation that increases impact, and build an environment conducive to peace over the long term.

The power of people-to-people programs as conflict resolution tools is clear: less fear, hatred and violence, increased economic growth, and greater understanding of the other, as well as the stake each party has in a shared future.
