Beam Center Inc

Mission

Founded in 2012, Beam Center collaborates with creators and schools to make learning and work accessible to all NYC youth. Beam Center integrates art, design, science and engineering with traditional academic objectives to support student pathways to higher education and future careers. Aiming to close the achievement gap between various communities, we create learning opportunities in and out of school for youth (ages 8 to 18 years old) and educators with inspired, technology integrated projects. We collaborate with public school teachers, administators and community partners to provide STEM and design/art based education, youth mentorship, and professional development training for educators.
