Mission

Best Buddies International is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. They have global chapters in schools and communities, matching volunteers with individuals with disabilities to foster friendship and inclusion. Despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, Best Buddies has seen a rebound in membership and continues to provide vital engagement opportunities through virtual events. Their programs in colleges and high schools have experienced significant growth, with thousands of members engaged in chapter events and activities. Best Buddies remains committed to supporting and engaging leaders to further their mission.
