Boys and Girls Club of Rochester
Mission
For 22 years, Boys & Girls Club of Rochester has been at the forefront of youth development, working with young people from disadvantaged economic, social, and family circumstances. Our mission is to empower all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring community members. Boys & Girls Club of Rochester provides a safe haven where children can learn and grow. We are dedicated to ensuring that our community's youth have greater access to quality programs and services that will enhance their lives and shape their futures. In a world that can seem threatening and devoid of promise for a disproportionate number of children, Boys & Girls Club of Rochester provides youth, ages 6 to 18, with a tangible measure of hope.
Club offers youth what they need and want most; adults who respect and listen to them, a safe environment where they can have fun and be themselves; and interesting, constructive activities that channel youthful energy into challenging pursuits. Daily access to a broad range of programs that promote health, social, educational, vocational, character, and leadership development fosters a sense of belonging, competence, usefulness, and influence building self-confidence and self-esteem. We provide this programming during after-school and out-of-school hours all year round.
