Mission

We envision a future in which a student’s socioeconomic background is not a barrier to attaining a college degree. We are aimed toward a future in which resilience and academic ability — which our students have in abundance — are the only factors determining college success.

In Louisiana, white students are almost 50% more likely to complete college than students of color, and more affluent students are 25% more likely to complete than low-income students.

College Beyond addresses this challenge by building underserved students’ social, cultural, and economic capital through holistic success coaching and small-dollar financial support.
