The Conscious Kid Is An Education, Research And Policy Organization That Supports Families And Educators In Taking Action To Disrupt Racism, Inequity And Bias.

To counter racism and racial bias, experts recommend having conversations with children about race and racism as early and as often as possible (Baron & Banaji; Derman-Sparks). Children’s books are one of the most effective and practical tools for supporting these conversations and can also be used to model what it looks like to take action against racism.
