Mission

Detroit Action is a grassroots community-based organization building power for workers and Detroiters of color throughout the metro Detroit region. Through a union of Black and Brown, low and no-income, homeless and housing insecure Detroiters fighting for housing and economic justice, the organization aims to build a true political home and deliver real political power for members. To do that work, Detroit Action provides opportunities for individuals and families to develop as full human beings through leadership development workshops, organizer internships, nonpartisan voter education and mobilization drives, and direct action.
