Down Home North Carolina
Mission
Founded in 2017, Down Home North Carolina works to build power for working families in North Carolina's small towns and rural places by creating member-led county chapters across the state. Together, North Carolinians in Down Home NC chapters are taking action to increase democracy, grow the good in their communities, and pass a healthy and just home down to future generations. Through deep canvassing and listening surveys, issue advocacy, and candidate support work, Down Home NC is working to dismantle the narrative and power structure that disadvantages poor and working-class people.
